When I was growing up outside of Boston - I used to hang out at Wurlitzer Music in Framingham and at their store on Newbury Street. All types of Boston bands and other famous bands would come through there to test out - and to buy gear. I worked in the back and got to learn guitar making from their resident luthier who would work on customer's guitars - and build his own for clients. For a time, I wanted to make guitars as a career.

I started making a couple of guitars in high school but lacked great equipment so the early ones were really hacked together from whatever I could find. A few years ago - I decided to revisit guitar making and with a great woodshop, much better equipment and lots of fantastic resources for wood and parts around LA - I found that I had learned a lot the past 30 years and could actually make some pretty nice guitars.
